COLORADO SMALL PRODUCER CO-OP SUMMIT

This event will bring together Colorado food system stakeholders to learn about and discuss cooperatives as a way to increase efficiencies in the local food system and participate in produce, meat, milk and egg production and distribution.
Topics include:
1. Legal formation and structure of co-ops,
2. Food safety
3. Regulatory framework around raw milk, on-farm sales of meat, small egg producers
4. Cooperative retail and distribution mechanisms
5. Stakeholders in the food system (regulators, producers, landowners, retail, distributors, investors, consumers)
